When Anika Phillips messaged Kyle Gordy on Instagram in February 2023, she wanted a baby.
It wasn’t your typical meet cute cliche. Anika, 39, from Germany, wanted 32-year-old Kyle to be the father of her baby — he’s famous for fathering 80 children so far, and currently has 15 women pregnant by him.
At the time, Anika was single and desperately wanted to be a mother. But from the moment she hopped on that first video call with Kyle, she felt a ‘spark’; they both did. That spark, however, turned into a ‘nightmare’ eight-month long engagement for the couple, and particularly for Anika.
‘What made me call our engagement off, was that he wouldn’t consider stopping sperm donations to other women,’ she said.

‘He wanted to still help people conceive, either artificially or naturally, and that made it really difficult for us to move forward. I knew deep down he couldn’t give it up. It was a nightmare from start to finish.’
Kyle, a self-proclaimed philanthropist, is a sperm donor from Los Angeles who offers his services for free in a bid to help struggling families conceive. Any woman can contact him through his Instagram @kylegordy1234 or website, Be Pregnant Now.
After connecting online, the couple shunned traditional courtship and signed up for reality dating series, 90 Day Fiancé. In June 2023, the pair met in person in Malta, and filmed their first official date for the TV show.
They hit it off at first, but Kyle’s refusal to stop getting other women pregnant was instantly a problem.

‘I thought we were in a committed relationship when I first met him in person,’ she said. ‘But then he told me that as recently as the week before, he had performed an in-person insemination — meaning sex.
‘I was disgusted and hurt. My feelings were crushed and I couldn’t believe he had essentially lied to me.’
And that wasn’t the only issue. Anika claims Kyle scored her for her behaviour. ‘If I didn’t get enough points, there would be no kisses of affection for me,’ she explained.
At the end of filming, after around eight months of being engaged, the couple officially part ways following a ‘huge fight’ where all their issues came to a head.
A few months later, though, they started speaking again. Today they are friends and support one another, even though it’s not romantic.
Annika said: ‘He’s helped me through some really difficult situations. Kyle always makes sure he’s available when I need to talk, no matter the time of day.
‘Since we’ve become friends, all I want is for him to be happy.

Kyle is still offering his services to women who wish to be pregnant. He took a short hiatus from donating sperm last last year, before beginning to offer his sperm for a ‘select few’ women in January 2024.
The ‘philanthropist’ previously revealed that his sex life was ‘non-existent’ due to his goodwill gesture and that even masturbation had become a ‘chore’.
While he claims to have given this up to ensure a healthy sperm count, he says he is looking for love again – though the right person would need to accept his controversial hobby.
Kyle said: ‘My experience with Anika was definitely one I will remember. Although, I do think my manners were appropriate [when we first met].
‘The time with her was fast-paced, so many of the things I did would be acceptable to most.
Finding love is, of course, difficult due to my circumstances, but I feel confident that it will happen.’
He shared that, since the couple had formed their friendship post-engagement, Anika is giving him dating advice and they’re planning a shopping trip together so he can find more suitable date outfits.
‘It is unfortunate that we didn’t work out, but I value our friendship and appreciate the advice she gives me,’ he added.
